The city of Suffolk is proud to be a partner in the askHRgreen program. Our beautiful, diverse city has vast natural resources including The Great Dismal Swamp, Nansemond and Blackwater Rivers, Chuckatuck Creek and multiple fresh water lakes. The city of Suffolk hopes to inspire environmental stewardship among all citizens to protect our waterways and our local resources.
As a region-wide public service initiative, askHRgreen.org educates, engages and motivates citizens to make good environmental choices here in Hampton Roads. By bringing together the 17 local governments (plus the Hampton Roads Sanitation District), we are a force and a resource, working to help you improve and protect our waterways, infrastructure and recycling activities through information and inspiration.
