Virginia Master Gardeners Program

mediaYard & LandscapingJun 23, 2017

Virginia Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners (VCE-MGs) are volunteers with the Extension dedicated to working with the community to encourage and promote environmentally sound horticultural practices through sustainable landscape management educational programs. The VCE-MG training was created by the Extension to meet an enormous increase in requests from home gardeners for unbiased, research-based horticultural information.

Each local master gardener program offers a variety of different programs including plant sales, soil testing, community gardens, rain barrel workshops and more.

You can participate in one of the many programs offered by the Master Gardeners, reach out to the Master Gardeners directly for help with a lawn or garden question, or you can become a master gardener yourself!

Visit the Virginia Cooperative Extension Master Gardener’s site for more information.
