There’s still time to join the Hampton Roads Great American Cleanup on March 28-29, 2025! Organized by askHRgreen.org, this two-day initiative is the largest community cleanup in the region and part of the national Great American Cleanup program led by Keep America Beautiful.

Do you know a park, roadway, or neighborhood that could use a little TLC? This is your chance to take action and make a real difference!

Last year, more than 3,000 volunteers rolled up their sleeves to clear litter and beautify the spaces where they live, work, and play. Military commands, local businesses, nonprofits, civic leagues, and everyday citizens teamed up to remove trash, restore green spaces, and improve public parks. Since 2019, volunteers have collected over 259 tons of litter—that’s the weight of about 43 elephants!

A cleaner Hampton Roads isn’t just about appearances. Studies show well-maintained communities boost local economies, attract tourists, and create safer, healthier places to live. Not to mention the negative impacts plastic pollution has on our local waterways. This is your chance to be part of the solution!

Sign Up Today!

Gather your coworkers, neighbors, friends, or family and sign up now at www.askHRgreen.org/cleanup. You can join an existing cleanup or organize your own in an area that matters to you. Supplies like trash bags and litter grabbers are available, but all you really need is sturdy shoes, a few trash bags, and the desire to make a difference. Let’s clean up Hampton Roads together!
