Friend's of Norfolk's Environment is hosting the Annual Jam'n Jamz fruit and nut tree giveaway in Lafayette Park on January 31 from 10 AM to 1 PM, or until they run out of trees! Hundreds of free trees will be available! You can make a difference when you plant a tree in your yard by helping to increase Norfolk's Tree canopy, reduce heat island effect, help with flooding, create habitat for native wildlife, and much more. This event is FREE and open to Norfolk residents. Some tree species go out in pairs (like apples and blueberries). The event may end a little early if all trees are adopted before 1 PM. Adoptions are limited to one tree (or pair) per household. Trees are given on a first-come, first-served basis and we cannot guarantee a preferred species will be available.
