VPPSA Household Chemical & Electronics Recycling

York County Operations Center 100 County Drive, Yorktown

VPPSA holds a total of 16 household chemical collection events per year and accepts a variety of paints, fuels, solvents, pesticides, automotive products and other chemicals from residents of Hampton, Poquoson, Williamsburg, James City County and York County. Suffolk Recycling Drive & Tire Amnesty Day

Recycling Drive & Tire Amnesty Day Join Keep Suffolk Beautiful for the Recycling Drive & Tire Amnesty Day, happening on May 11th from 9 am to 12 pm at 800 Carolina Road, Suffolk, VA 23434. This free event is not only an opportunity to declutter your space during spring cleaning but also a chance to make a positive impact on the environment and support a local cause. While participation is free, the Suffolk Christian Center kindly accepts food and toiletry donations. At the Recycling Drive & Tire Amnesty Day, a wide range of recyclable items are accepted. This includes cardboard, #1 and #2 plastic bottles/jugs, electronics, clothing, shoes, plastic bags, batteries, eyeglasses, hearing aids, scrap metal, appliances (without gas motors), and even US flags in need of proper decommissioning. Additionally, Suffolk residents can responsibly dispose of hazardous waste and residential tires (without rims) by presenting their Suffolk ID. As a bonus service, we're pleased to offer free and secure document shredding. Mosquito Control will also be handing out free mosquito dunks to residents.
