Gloucester residents may dispose of hazardous waste such as: Automobile hazardous waste: antifreeze, brake and transmission fluids, gasoline and batteries Painting supplies: paints, thinners, epoxy and wood preservatives Gardening/outdoor supplies: pesticides, herbicides, pool chemicals, etc. Household items: small propane canisters and propane tanks for grills, fire extinguishers, toxic household cleaners, drain cleaners, mercury, batteries, electronics, etc. For more information, contact Gloucester Clean Community at 804-693-5370.
Suffolk Earth and Arts Festival
Downtown Suffolk North Main Street, SuffolkThe Suffolk Earth and Arts Festival is returning to the heart of Suffolk, on April 20, 2024, promising a day filled with creativity, culture, and community spirit. Organized by Keep Suffolk Beautiful and the Suffolk Art League, the festival will run from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Organizers are delighted to share that this year's festivities will be hosted on Main Street in the historic downtown area. To ensure a spot at this exciting event, potential vendors are encouraged to apply early. The Early Bird Special for vendor applications is available through January 12, 2024. For a 12ft x 12ft space, the cost is $85.00.
