VPPSA Household Chemical & Electronics Recycling

Warhill High School 4615 Opportunity Way, Williamsburg

VPPSA holds a total of 16 household chemical collection events per year and accepts a variety of paints, fuels, solvents, pesticides, automotive products and other chemicals from residents of Hampton, Poquoson, Williamsburg, James City County and York County. Chesapeake Recycles Day

Chesapeake Square Mall 4200 Portsmouth Blvd, Chesapeake

Special recycling collections for electronics and household hazardous waste will be held on the following dates/times for Chesapeake residents: March 9- South Norfolk-Southgate Shopping Plaza April 13-Western Branch-Chesapeake Square Mall October 12-Greenbrier-Sentara College of Health Sciences November 2-Tidewater Community College-Chesapeake Campus What to Bring Goodwill, Southeastern Public Service Authority (SPSA), and Shred-It are partnering with us to collect a wide variety of items at each of our events. In general, accepted items will include electronics (e-waste) and sensitive documents. No HHW will be collected at this event. HHW collection has been rescheduled to April 21st View a list of eligible items and important exclusions for each drop-off station. What Is Not Accepted Plastic Bags (please recycle at a local store) Tires Tube TVs (flat panel TVs 42 inches and smaller only!) Business items (personal only - items brought in a business-labeled vehicle cannot be accepted) For shredding, no magazines, books, CDs, disks, or any non-sensitive documents (junk mail, blank envelopes, etc.).
