In light of the COVID-19 crisis, askHRgreen.org is providing easy-to-use environmental lesson plans for students and parents to use in their new homeschooling adventure. Each week, we’ll be sharing a new simple lesson plan leveraging online learning resources to highlight important environmental concepts for elementary and middle school students. The lesson plans will include informational videos, practical assignments and fun learning extensions like crafts or science experiments.
In our first week, students learned the concepts of the water cycle. This week we’ll dive deeper into one part of the water cycle, precipitation, and explore our watersheds. Students will learn what happens when precipitation falls to earth and travels across the landscape to reach rivers and streams. Human impacts on watersheds and stormwater pollution are also covered.
