Doing Our Duty (Not “Doody”) for Clean Waterways

Dear askHRgreen.org Readers,

Norfolk’s Canine Crusaders spokedogs have been working very hard to make our waterways cleaner by going to community events to share our “one scoop at a time” message. Armed with our pet waste “Bags on Board” holders and tip cards, our fellow pet owners are equipped to start doing right by our waterways.

Most recently, we were spotted at the Suburban Acres neighborhood’s Fourth of July parade. This parade was a blast! We love meeting and greeting big people, little people, and other dogs! Of course, the highlights of the day were the hot dogs and ear rubs!

As Canine Crusaders, we always want to put our best paws forward, which is easy when you follow these 5 eco-friendly steps.

  1. Scoop the Poop
  2. Plant more plants
  3. Use fertilizer sparingly
  4. Reduce, Reuse & Recycle
  5. Never dump anything down the storm drains

As a Norfolk spokesdogs, we hope to raise awareness for clean waterways by making friends wherever we go…and remember, clean waterways begin with you!

Sincerely,

Canine Crusaders – Jack & Enzo
