Spark Some Change, Declare Your Independence!

Let’s face it, it’s easy for us all to fall into a rut when it comes to living green. This July 4th, spark some change! We want to encourage you to start your own revolution and declare your independence from single use plastics. Simply avoid these single use plastics and help keep Hampton Roads, and America, beautiful.

  • Plastic Bags. Keep a reusable bag with you at all times to avoid having to use those store-provided plastic bags. Reusable bags hold more goods and they’re a lot more stylish than anything you would ever be handed from the local checkout line!
  • Bottled Water. Why settle for expensive store-bought water when you can have fresh clean water from the tap for a thousandth of the cost? Grab a reusable bottle and fill ‘er up with safe, healthy tap water!
  • Straws. Just say “no” to plastic straws by refusing from waitstaff at restaurants and drive thru windows. Plastic straws are used for minutes or hours but take hundreds of years to decompose.
