Shoppers, rejoice! Black Friday and Cyber Monday mark the official start of the holiday shopping season with great prices on the season’s most sought after gifts. While some may shun the “shop ’til you drop” Thanksgiving tradition, many others will be swapping their post-turkey sweatpants for a pumpkin spice latte and doorbuster pricing. Some shoppers are in it for the rock bottom deals or nabbing the perfect gift while others may simply enjoy the quality time spent with a special bargain-hunter in their life. Whatever your motivation for participating in the Black Friday or Cyber Monday hubbub, I wanted to offer these go green gift ideas to keep any eye out for this holiday season.

  • For the littles:
    • Green Toys – Close the loop with these toys made from recycled plastic.
    • Don’t Step in It – This hilarious game for the whole family shows the messy consequences of not scooping the poop! Step across the game mat while dodging little piles of clay “poop.”
  • For the tweens:
  • Teens love their screens so why not get them a solar charger for charging their devices in a convenient, yet easy on the environment, way?
  • If there’s a foodie in your life, the waste reduction products are endless. Vacuum sealers help reduce food waste, counter top compost bins, reusable food wraps and so much more.
  • Gardeners love to work in the yard so help them go easy on the emissions with a rechargeable lawn tool like a lawnmower, edger, or blower.

Is there a “go green” gift on your holiday wish list? Let us know what it is on Facebook or Twitter?
